To create a new section, all you have to do is to provide a name and a navigation part, as explained in the procedure below:
Pour créer une nouvelle section, la seule chose à faire est de lui donner un nom et de lui affecter une zone de navigation en suivant la procédure ci-dessous:

1. Click the New section button in the Sections interface. This will take you to the Section editing interface for the new section:
   Cliquez sur le bouton Nouvelle section de l'interface Sections pour afficher l'interface Section editing de la nouvelle section:

2. Enter a name for the new section in the Name input field.
   Entrez le nom de la nouvelle section dans le champ de saisie Nom.
3. Select a navigation part from the dropdown list. You will recognize the names of the Administration Interface main menu tabs within this list. Recall that the navigation part dictates which tab is accessed when working with objects in the section.
   Sélectionnez une zone de navigation dans la liste déroulante où vous reconnaîtrez les noms des principaux onglets de l'interface d'administration. Retenez que la zone de navigation détermine l'onglet accédé lorsque vous travaillez avec des objets appartenant à la section.
4. Click the OK button to create the section or the Cancel button to abort the procedure.
   Cliquez sur le bouton OK pour créer votre section ou sur le bouton Annuler pour annuler sa création.

The newly created section will show up in the section listing. It will automatically be assigned the next unused section ID. As seen in the screenshot below, our new section is titled "My new section" and has an ID of "7".
La nouvelle section créée sera dès lors affichée dans la liste de la zone centrale et se verra automatiquement assigné le prochain numéro de ID non encore utilisé. Comme le montre la capture d'écran ci-dessous, la nouvelle section se nomme My new section et a pour numéro de ID «7» :

Assigning a section / Assigner une section

To assign a section to a subtree, follow the procedure below. Note that you cannot assign a section directly when creating or editing the section itself.
Afin d'assigner une section à une sous-arborescence, suivez la procédure ci-après. Retenez que vous ne pouvez assigner une section directement depuis la phase de création ou d'édition de celle-ci.

1. Open the Sections interface (click the Sections link in the Setup tab).
   Ouvrez l'interface Sections (cliquez sur le lien Sections sous l'onglet Administration).
2. Click the Assign button to the right of the desired section.
   This will open the Browse interface within the navigation part you selected for the section. Navigate using the available tabs, the tree menu and the content list.
   Cliquez que le bouton Assigner (icône avec le signe +) situé à droite du nom de la section considérée.
   Cela affichera l'interface « Choisir un emplacement initial pour la section» dans la zone de navigation que vous avez sélectionnée pour la section. Utilisez les onglets disponibles, le menu et la liste de contenus pour naviguer.
3. Use the checkboxes to select a node to which to assign the section. You can select multiple nodes. Then, click the Select button. The assignment will be carried out for the selected node (or more accurately, its encapsulated object) and the corresponding subtree.
   Utilisez les cases à cocher pour sélectionner un ou plusieurs nœuds devant appartenir à la section puis validez avec le bouton Sélectionner. L'assignation sera appliquée aux nœuds sélectionnés (ou plus exactement à son objet encapsulé) ainsi qu'à tous ses enfants de la sous-arborescence.

You can also assign a section to a subtree by opening the target object for editing and changing the section in the Section window before publishing a new version. However, if you are not going to make any content changes to the object, it is best to use the Sections interface.
Vous pouvez également assigner une section à une sous-arborescence en éditant l'objet cible puis en modifiant, avant d'envoyer pour publication, la section à partir du cadre Sections. Cependant, si vous envisagez de n'apporter aucune modification à cet objet alors le mieux reste l'utilisation de l'interface Sections.
